We are a choir uniting many wonderful women with different backgrounds, who share a passion for music and for reaching the artistry of professional ensembles. Under the expert guidance of our talented conductor, Alona Astasheva, we perform complex a cappella pieces chosen to inspire harmony, peace, and joy within ourselves—and to share that beauty with our diverse audience.
We all are working women from various backgrounds, so we bring our tastes, experience and cultures into our music. Music scene of Toronto is very busy and diverse. We are doing our part in educating public by arranging concerts of Medieval, Renaissance, and Modern music, talking about composers, times, and habits of the historic periods connected to the music we perform. We try to make our performances enjoyable and inclusive – our audience is invited to interact during the performance. We also sing in 12 languages – English, French, Italian, Latin, Yiddish, Spanish. Ukrainian, Hebrew, Swahili, and others. Our mission is not only to entertain, but also to educate, and to bring harmony in the life of people who listen to our performance.
